Responsibilities

As a part of the Quality Scrum Team, “Senior Quality Assurance Manager” will focus on creating, mentoring and developing Scrum Teams to focus on high quality release deliverables with industry standard practices/processes. The Manager should guide the teams on functional/non-functional validations, automated tests, multi-component integration tests using Java, Selenium and Groovy DSL, maintaining and executing the automated tests in TeamCity/Jenkins and using Junit/in-house Test Automation Framework. Candidate will challenge/enable Shift-Left/Fast-Fail mechanism and help build quality and efficient products that serve the movement of containerized goods that drive the world economy.

 

  • Work in Agile environment, bring in industry standard, open-source tools/processes to enable high quality releases in a 4-month PI (Product Increment) cycle
  • Build and deliver meaningful testing, provide analytical assessments on usability that enable supreme operational capabilities to our customers
  • Interpret business requirements and high level designs to mentor and guide QA members to create detailed test cases and use test environments, customer datasets effectively
  • Actively collaborate with customer support, product management and development teams in improving the product quality
  • Directly involved in hiring, training and retaining High Performing Employees
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and support your staff in both technical and non-technical issues. Ensure high productivity of the team members. Provide support for their career growth and personal development and upgrade the existing talent
  • Build and maintain metrics/data driven approach to assessing and improving product quality

Qualifications

Experience: 10 - 12 years

 

Education: BE/ B.Tech (CSE/IT)

  • Minimum of  7-8 years of experience in leading and managing geographically distributed quality teams/members in SSDLC methodology
  • Hands on experience in manual and automated testing, debugging of enterprise business critical applications that use relational DB structures and App servers like Tomcat
  • Experience with Groovy scripting, Selenium automation; scripting in languages like Powershell, Java; Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems
  • Strong follow-through and initiative to stay with issues until they are resolved, along with discipline and tenacity to help teams meet deadlines/deliverables with high quality
  • Experienced with leading and mentoring Scrum Teams with inputs on detailed test plans, usage of open source and industry standard automation tools for enterprise applications
  • Experienced with collaboration, conflict resolution, problem solving skills leading multi-geographic teams with excellent communication
  • Experience with tools such as Team City/Jenkins, SVN/source control, Junit/test framework
  • Experience with maritime industry domain is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven, collaborative and agile environment
  • Creative and effective in oral and written communication, ability to communicate with all stakeholders in distributed teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with focus on certifications in quality and test automation
