Reporting to the Chief People Office, the Senior Manager, Global Compensation & Benefits will have responsibility for managing the strategic direction of the compensation and benefits functions. You will be responsible for the design, development and execution through the regions of a rewards strategy that aligns to the organization’s goals and objectives.


The Senior Manager, Global Compensation & Benefits will serve as a proactive partner and subject matter expert to clients including people business partners, regional leaders and business unit leaders.  You will direct all reward programs throughout the organization: base pay, incentive compensation, recognition programs and benefits strategy while also ensuring compliance with global compensation and benefits laws and regulations.

The position is located at company headquarters in Oakland, California.


The ideal candidate is an accomplished compensation, benefits, and operations leader with significant experience running all aspects of those functions. The successful candidate should have the ability to act as a subject matter expert and be ‘of counsel’ to business leaders. This person will also need the skills to design a vision and strategy for reward programs that will drive desired behaviors and business results. In this fast moving, entrepreneurial organization, new and creative ideas are encouraged and rewarded as are exceptional execution and results. The successful candidate will possess global experience and strong leadership skills.




  • Assist the CPO in the administration of executive compensation programs. 
  • Update and maintain the salary structure to include the addition of new positions and modification of current grade assignments.
  • Participate in and analyze salary surveys. 
  • Manage payment of the company's bonus and incentive plans. 
  • Provide information for the preparation of employee total compensation statements as needed. 
  • Research local and national market pricing of new job requisitions. 
  • Prepare ad hoc employee compensation and demographic reports as needed.
  • Lead aspects of People Success Operations


  • Bachelor degree required, Masters’ Degree a plus.
  • 8-10 years of compensation experience
  • 5+ years of experience in administering employee benefits 
  • Experience in writing and evaluating job descriptions 
  • Excellent analytical, project management, problem resolution and customer service skills 
  • Self-directed with a positive attitude and high energy level 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Detail-oriented and knack for accuracy.  
  • Able to maintain an extremely high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    CCP Certification, a plus
