    As a user experience designer on our team you will be responsible for driving design deliverables such as wireframes, workflows and scenarios, visual design, interaction models, and prototypes for next generation real-time user interfaces across all device types.


    You should have comprehensive understanding of the current state of technology and best practices, with a critical awareness of implications on user-centered design and functionality. You are highly customer-focused, detail-oriented and comfortable working on highly technical teams as well as skilled in using data to make informed decisions and can effectively communicate these to all stakeholders.



    We are seeking a highly motivated, passionate and proven UX Designer that can jump in to a new business domain and make a difference fast!  You will be responsible for the following:


    • Developing and managing the user experience vision for Navis products
    • Develop and cultivate a design system to create a cohesive and consistent across Navis products
    • Quickly designing process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to effectively conceptualize new product initiatives
    • Creating user-centered designs by considering market research, data, customer feedback, and technical constraints/opportunities
    • Constantly simplifying and distilling complex processes into intuitive and elegant user interfaces
    • Developing and maintaining detailed user-interface specifications
    • Communicating complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
    • Designing and carrying out targeted usability tests to validate design choices
    • Working with developers to implement strategies that ensure technical success
    • Working with product owners and customers to establish requirements for rapid prototyping to determine the minimum viable product

    Primary Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in interaction design, visual design, human computer interaction, human factors, computer science, or a closely related area
    • 8+ years of experience with the user interface design process and methodology, mobile/app/web design and interaction design especially as it is applied to web-based applications
    • Regular and recent creation of various appropriate artifacts for the design of complex web and mobile applications, including flows, models, storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, teardowns, and high-fidelity comps
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams with minimal supervision
    • Fluency with user interface patterns for desktop browser, mobile web, and native mobile design
    • Experience working directly with developers and multiple management levels for implementation of designs
    • Experience with Agile development and open source projects is a plus
    • Some travel required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • History of creative and innovative design approaches successfully delivered
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to be self-directed
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present rationale for design decisions
    • Experience with complex enterprise products and systems
